Ata lira has Atatürk's portrait on one side and the words "Sovereignty belongs to the nation" around it. There is Ankara writing on the lower part of the same face. On the other side, there is the text Republic of Türkiye in the middle and wreath patterns around it. Under the Republic of Türkiye text is the date 1923.

Republic gold is 22 carat, and 22 carat gold consists of fine gold with a purity of 0.916. It weighs 7,20 grams. It weighs 6.60 grams in fine gold. Its diameter is 22 mm. It is generally handleless.
