This tapestry is beautifully made, we used for decoration purposes only. I’m not sure what time frame this was made in, my brother in law bought it while in the marines in Okinawa Japan in the early 1980s. It feels like silk, then with a little velvet and the sewing or painting on the design is raised on the tapestry. I do not know anything about Okinawa tapestry, I am just going on what I have researched only.
