This Hillcrest edition is named after one of the homes of Twain, in Tarrytown, New York, purchased by his wife in 1902. The couple never lived at Hillcrest however, as they planned to renovate it, but his wife fell into ill health.

Including all of the important works of Twain, this set shows his great influence over American literature.

CONDITION

In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the extremities. Only a few very light marks to the boards. Dampstain to the spine of Volume II, lighter dampstain to the leather to the boards, with a light tide mark to the endpapers and first and last few pages. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
