A two piece dress from c. 1896. From what I can figure out, it was originally home sewn as a pretty white dress with zig zag shoulder trim. The floral ribbon was added later to hide a few tears. The lining has been worn and patched. The closures were removed and never brought back.

There’s a lot of patches on the bodice m that aren’t visible at first glance but greatly along the front when up close. Scattered holes and tears throughout; however, with some mending, the dress is still sturdy for wear.
