Eschewing the side-scrolling platform setup found in the Genesis version of the game, Taz-Mania for the Super NES is a behind-the-runner racing game in which a very nicely animated Taz walks, runs, jumps, and spins down the highway, attempting to catch a certain number of kiwi birds before time runs out. Hunters Bull Gator and Axl put glue, black holes, and other obstacles in the way, and the game automatically ends if the love-struck Tasmanian She-Devil catches up with our hero. An especially inventive happening occurs when a trembling Wendal T. Wolf jumps on Taz for protection, partially blocking his eyesight (and the gamer's view of the screen). Grunts, groans, and other cartoon-like sound effects offset the disappointingly ordinary music. Gameplay, though suffering a bit from sameness throughout the levels, is fast-paced, challenging, and enjoyable, and definitely makes Taz-Mania worth taking for a spin.

Authentic, used, cleaned, tested and working. This listing is for the cartridge(game) only, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System(SNES) pictured is for testing only and NOT included with the purchase of the listing. The cartridge has some damage to the front label, both at the bottom edge as well as the top edge. As well as some light brown spots due to age.

Please note, when playing these older SNES games on original hardware(SNES) they require patience when attempting to play, and sometimes will not load on the first try. They may require a good pin cleaning, with which I recommend using Isopropyl Alcohol and a Q-tip.

  1. Douse one side of the Q-tip with with a couple of drops of Isopropyl Alcohol, and run that over both sides of the pin, firmly enough to clean off any buildup that may be blocking connection between the cartridge and console, but not so hard that the Q-tip bends/breaks.

  2. Follow up with the dry side of the Q-tip on both sides to dry it off.

  3. If the first 2 steps didn’t work, then I recommend giving a good puff of air in both the cartridge as well as in the SNES game cartridge slot, before re-attempting to play.
