GAUGE: 7-7½ sts/inch on US 0-3 needles
With 475 yards you could make a pair of socks and maybe a baby sweater.
For a shawl we recommend 2 and for an adult sweater check with us but probably 4-5 cake balls.

Mary Ann yarn has a delightfully soft hand with the perfect smoothness and durability you want. The Blossoms are a special creation where the colors are variegated in such a way that they look like flowers in bloom. Takes the guesswork (if curating is not your jam Mrs. Knits does that for you) out of how to create beautiful color combinations found in nature. The cake balls are simply packaging for convenience – essentially replaces the task of winding off skeins or struggling to find a color combination/look you want to achieve.
These yarns were from a Limited Edition #lysday2023 yarn kit that was created for the event. Since then we have discontinued carrying Wonderland so we have marked down these gems for final clearance.
While they won’t be back with us – don’t worry! We have plenty of Indie Dyed collections coming this spring with similar mark downs.
NOTES: Like Noro, color variations are a normal design feature of this yarn. What you receive may look different on the outside than the photos, but all visible colors will be in the cake. We will not accept returns based on those color variations, unless you receive a colorway you did not order. Stitch marker packaged with some cakes not included with this listing.

For #lysday event 2023 (Local Yarn Shop Day), Wonderland Yarns spun and dyed a unique collection of yarns and kits in a limited edition package. We are not moving forward with their lines. Instead, we donate products and money to support local charity raffles, etc. More about that in my blog.
What is the Difference between Mass Produced Yarn vs Indie Yarns?
Independent (Indie) Yarn Companies (like Wonderland) design yarns a little differently than the big yarn companies. The average production of indie hand-crafted yarns is about 2000 per day in the larger yarn companies. A mass-production yarn company might produce 20,000 yarns a day. The other difference is that indie yarn's small batches mean that there are no dye lots - "dyed to order" with a formula of a base fiber, base weight, and then color from a catalog of hand-mixed dyes with delightful creative names and colors to surprise and delight the knitter/crocheter.
