THIS ITEM IS A: 5 Squadron DevGru Set + 2 Naval Special Warfare Sniper patch set added to a new, Crye Sniper Ghillie boonie cover.

Cover is original Crye Precision Ghillie Suit boonie cap with full adjustment from size 7 3/4" down to 7 1/4".  Vented top and 550 cord bar tacked to brim for camo garnish is all original.  Comes with Crye shipping bag.  Unused.

Patch set included vintage NSW Sniper program logo embossed on leather patch and embroidered on twill patch.  Both have Velcro backing.

Other patches are vintage NSWDG SEAL Team Sniper 5 Sqn patch set worn/designed for NSWDG/DEVGRU  Sniper  operators.  This is a very neat, later versions (V3) in larger size and stitched on commercial hunting camouflage materials.  This is Mossy Oak camo & I believe early patterns of Real Tree and Natural Gear camo were also used since the unit specially ordered foul weather gear for Recce tests.  I only found old Mossy Oak.....none of the other patterns were found.  This is the last time this style skull and anchor detail was used in this size patch.  Later emblems has fancy skull, fouled anchor and frogman fin embroidery.

These were produced by  Squadron Snipers/Recce doing their own mascot combining the traditional U.S. Navy rating logo and traditional SEAL UDT logo elements.  These were made by a now out of business embroidery and silk screen company, located within a stones throw from NAS Oceana.  This company produced many emblems, caps, t shirts and other SWAG for military, law enforcement and NSW Units in the Virginia Beach, VA area. 

Only style available are the subdued colors.  These are all from before 2009-10?, when contracts were let out for hunting camo goretex and super insulated parkas."  Later patches in this size only have two slight differences, which most people would not notice.  These have very high detailed stitching, and background colors and patterns differ for each emblem.  No two emblems look alike

Black high tensile milspec hook stitched to back.  Full embroidered image on twill for this.  Size is just under 3.5".  These were stored for quite a while so sold as used.  All were cleaned of dust or any storage wear, but only best condition are shipped.
