About this listing -
This listing is for the Loddiges Botanical Cabinet prints pictured.  These prints are copperplate engravings, with original hand coloring.  The paper size is approximately 6.25 x 8 inches.  Because every monitor displays differently, expect that there will be some variance between what you see on the monitor and how the prints will look in your hands.  The images are as representative of the actual print as I could make them. These prints are in good condition over all.  Some foxing, toning, and offset may visible, I have noted any of these conditions both in the condition description above and in the condition notes below.  All prints in this listing are authentic hand colored antique prints, and are around 200 years old.  Because The Botanical Cabinet was published in 20 parts from 1817 - 1833, and the prints are not individually dated in the plate, the latest possible date of publication is used in dating this lot.

About the work -
The Botanical Cabinet - Consisting of Colored Delineations of Plants from all Countries, was published as a business catalog for the Nursery of Conrad Loddiges & Sons in Hackney, London.  The publication ran from 1817 - 1833, and illustrated nearly 2000 specimens, many of which were cultivated in the Loddiges hot houses.  The prints from this work are copper plate engravings with original hand coloring.  The paper size is approximately 6.25 x 8 inches and is fairly uniform.

Note on Shipping -
These prints may be shipped rolled.  Rolling is cost effective & non-damaging.  Many top tier print dealers roll their prints for shipment.  Once your prints arrive, unroll them and put them between two heavy books for a couple of days and they should flatten out beautifully.  Alternatively, your framer can press them out.
