DuPont Krytox ™ Grease GPL 203 Tube 8oz 226.80g

Krytox™ GPL 203 grease has an oil viscosity of 30 cSt at 40°C and the estimated useful temperature range is -60°C to 154°C.

Krytox™ GPL 203 grease is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thickened, contains no additives and can be used for components that come into contact with chemicals. Typical applications include valves, instruments or bearings that interact with chemicals such as alcohols, ammonia, solvents, steam, acids and bases and oxygen systems, e.g. B. LOX1 and GOX2 come into contact. krytox gpl 203 grease is commonly used as a lubricant for seals and O-rings and is compatible with most seal types.

Krytox™ LUBRICANTS AT A GLANCE:

Krytox™ oils and grease are silicone-free. They do not contain VOC3 materials or chlorine and are not dangerous to the atmosphere or the ozone layer. They are biologically and ecologically inert. For applications requiring GPL 203 and a strong anti-corrosion additive is KrytoxTM GPL 223 necessary

Krytox™ GPL 203 grease is the product of choice in extreme temperature conditions. Most petroleum products begin to degrade above 99 °C (210 °F) and become too viscous at temperatures just below -18 °C (0 °F). Under the D-3336 test conditions of 177°C (350°F) and 10,000 rpm, most competing hydrocarbon lubricants fail in less than 1,000 hours. But the general-purpose line of Krytox lubricants has been shown to last over 5,000 hours without failure, even at an elevated temperature of 200°C (392°F). This extreme condition performance differentiates Krytox performance lubricants from other competing products.

Krytox™ GPL 203 grease is cost effective in a variety of applications. Due to their inert nature, Krytox lubricants offer a much longer service life compared to typical hydrocarbon oils and greases; and the longer service life allows them to last for longer periods of time before needing to be replaced, if they are replaced at all. This results in savings over time, both by reducing the amount of lubricant purchased and in downtime incurred during relubrication.

Why Krytox ™ GPL 203?

Krytox standard lubricants contain only carbon, oxygen and fluorine; while hydrocarbons contain hydrogen. The absence of hydrogen significantly increases the stability of the lubricants and makes them non-flammable with no flash point. They do not burn or support combustion, even in a 100% liquid or gaseous oxygen environment.

In addition to being resistant to oxygen, Krytox performance lubricants are inert to virtually Allen chemicals used in a variety of industries. They are insoluble in most solvents but soluble in highly fluorinated liquids and some supercritical liquids such as CO2. At elevated temperatures and pressures, PFPE oils are very resistant to attack by gaseous and liquid oxygen. As a result, Krytox oils and greases have become preferred lubricants in the oxygen industry and industries that use oxygen.

Does Krytox contain silicone?

No. Krytox oils and grease do not contain silicones and are not used used in processing.

The krytox gpl 10X Oil /20X Grease Series contains no additives and can be used on components that come into contact with most chemicals typically used in industry. Typical applications include valves or bearings, sealing barrier fluids, instruments and oxygen systems.

Where can Krytox lubricants be used?

Krytox lubricants can be used in applications where non-flammability, oxygen compatibility, material compatibility, high temperature stability and resistance to aggressive chemicals are requirements.

Are Krytox lubricants flammable?

No. Krytox lubricants are neither flammable nor do they ignite.
