For your consideration is this antique Frères Esquivillan & De Choudens Mounted Pocket Watch produced in Paris, France. Frères Esquivillon & De Choudens was active in Geneva and Paris from around 1765 until 1830. The Genevan watchmaker Jacques De Choudens (1728-1801) founded a company manufacturing high-quality verge pocket watches and early cylinder escapements with the brothers Joseph Esquivillon (1714-1798), Jean François Esquivillon (1) (1733-1813) and Gédéon-François Esquivillon (1717-1799). The watches were mostly signed with Les Frères Esquivillon & De Choudens but also with Esquivillon & De Choudens and Les Frères Esquivillon.
The watch back is marked "Les Fr. Esquivillan & De Choudens No. 19011". The face measures 1.37 inches in diameter. The key is included. The time piece does need professional cleaning...far beyond my capabilities. Additionally, one screw hole is loose and the frame wobbles a little. Please see photos for further condition details. This was purchased from an antique dealer's estate auction upon his passing.
