Art Pepper The Complete Tokyo Concert 1979 Limited Edition 4 SACD CD Japan

Description

Condition: New

40 years after Art Pepper's death.
Alto saxophonist Art Pepper (September 1, 1925 - June 15, 1982) made a name for himself on the West Coast of the United States. This work is a recording of the third performance in Japan held at Tokyo Yubin Hokin Hall in July 1979, and was originally titled "Landscape" (6 songs) and "Besame Mucho" (5 songs). In 1979 and 1981, respectively, the first and second sets of the first and second sets of the 16th on Discs 1 & 2 and the 23rd on Discs 3 & 4 were completely recorded, totaling 22. A CD set released in 2007 as a 4-disc set (Japanese planning board).
The members are George Cables on piano, Tony Dumas on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums.
An impressive two-day documentary in which the legendary performance that fascinated the audience three years before his death, who first came to Japan in 1977 and was extremely popular in Japan, is revived with the atmosphere of the time.
