Not many Confederate items from Atlanta survived the fall to Sherman's army.  This is an original issue or partial issue of the Second Edition of  Sunday Nov. 22, 1863  Southern Confederacy, Atlanta's Civil war newspaper.  It was preserved by Henry Watterson with his personal correspondence and issues of the "Rebel".  I do not know if this is the whole issue or partial.  Paper was hard to come by and this is a Second Edition thus this may be all there was, I do not know. Watterson most likely preserved this issue because it announces his appointment to be editor of the paper.  He had been editor of the Chattanooga "Rebel" and had taken the press on the road but his open criticism of General Brag took him away from that position.  Watterson left Atlanta and traveled to Macon with General Hood.  Later as editor of the Louisville Courier Journal, Watterson gains fame and a Pulitzer.  26" tall by 8" wide printed on one side.  Please refer to scans for details.  Ask questions if there are any concerns.  US shipping only.  USPS shipping with tracking and insurance.
