Wonderful, large, early papier mache Pauline type doll from the mid 1800s. Possibly Voit? She stands 26" tall and has a papier mache shoulder head, lower arms, hands and legs which have molded with painted white socks with red bands at the top and black boots. One boot has had an accident and has a very old repair. She has fixed glass eyes and a closed mouth. Her dome head has one small hole in the center top covered by a wig and crocheted hat (probably not original). She has a cloth woman's body and is dressed in old clothes. This doll is not marked. I tried to picture all areas of the doll so you can see her exact condition. Really very nice considering how old she is.
