The British Castles stamps have always been popular with stamp collectors: The original set of 'high values' 2/6d, 5/-, 10/- and £1 issued in 1955 are in stunning condition and look fabulous shown alongside their decimal counterparts! Each cover bears a Victorian coat of arms as the background. The four decimal stamps 2 x 50p and 2 x £1 have been postmarked by Royal Mail at Windsor marking '50th Anniversary of Castles High Values'. The Castles featured on the stamps are Windsor, Caernarfon, Edinburgh and Carrickfergus.
