British Army MTP PCS Smock - GRADE 1/USED

This British Army surplus MTP camouflage windproof smock is part of the Personal Clothing System (PCS) that is issued to British Forces.

This version of the combat smock has several new design features over the previous including ventilated armpits for temperature control and angled arm pockets for easy access with velcro panels for attaching badges. Fleece lined hand warmer pockets have been added behind the waist pockets and all buttons are now shrouded to prevent them from snagging.

On the front of the smock are four large bellows pockets along with two zipped chest pockets behind the chest pockets. Made from windproof polycotton in MTP (Multi-Terrain Pattern) camo the material is tough and also infrared reflecting (IRR). The large hood is wired (sometimes replaced with a drawcord) and can be stowed away and secured with a button when not needed.

For protection from the elements, the cuffs are windproof with Velcro fastening and there are drawcords at the waist and hem. The full-length heavy duty zip is protected by a storm flap secured in place with velcro and a rank slide front and centre.
