Guide:
Induction cookers work on a different principle to other types, using electromagnetic energy.
Accordingly, you will need induction compatible pans. Glass, ceramic or aluminium pans will not work.
If a magnet sticks to the bottom of your pan it will work.
Most pans you can buy now are induction compatible.

Using your new induction cooker:
An induction cooker will not heat up if there is no pan on the cooker.
To familiarise yourself, put an inch of water in a compatible pan, place it on the cooker.
Switch on at the wall, then switch the cooker on.
Press the function button and it will automatically default to “Hot Pot” and immediately start to heat up, be careful, it heats up very quickly.
Use the + and – buttons to bring down to the lowest setting and then bring it up incrementally to suit.
This is perhaps the best way to get used to the cooker.
Heat adjustments by the +/- buttons can only be used in “Hot Pot” and “Fry” modes.
All other settings are preset and cannot be changed.
You will notice that the heat setting in “Fry Mode” is in Degrees Centigrade whereas the heat setting in “Hot Pot” is displayed as a power level.
When the pan is removed from the cooker it will beep at you because there is no pan. This is normal operation.
