A rare French prisonner of war straw work tea caddy. Please refer to my photographs for the condition. It is complete with its two fresh looking inner tea container. The outside is a bit worn with one crack ( repair ?) and the occasional missing bit of straw. I have taken my pictures with and without a flash. 1800s when many French sailors were kept in prisoner of war camps ( one near Peterborough) . Size of the box: 18.5 cm x 10.5 cm x 11.5 cm approx.
