How To Inflate A Lay Z Spa

The first thing you’ll need to consider before unpacking your  hot tub is where you are going to put it. We recommend choosing a sheltered position so the cold weather doesn’t affect the water temperature of the lay-z-spa, perhaps behind a wall or a hedge, and you will also need a level surface or base floor on which to place your tub. 

Just remember, a filled hot tub is heavy, so it will need significant support.to avoid sinking and damage to the outer shell. You will also need to position your tub somewhere you have easy access to the spa pump and a power source and be able to perform maintenance tasks easily. 

Once you have the hot tub in position, you need to connect the pipe from the airjet outlet on the air pump (the narrow one) to the valve on the spa itself. It’s essential to make sure this is tight and secure; otherwise, the tub will leak air and end up deflating. 

Inflate Your Lay Z Spa

Now you need to switch on the jets. It will take about 5 minutes for the hot tub to fill with air. Once it’s as firm as it’s going to get, you can disconnect the pipe and close the valves.

How do you know when your Lay Z Spa is fully inflated?

The newer models come with a pressure gauge, so you know when they reach full inflation. Some older models should be inflated until they are touch soft. 

There are small holes in the inflation hose in Lay Z Spa models, which prevent overinflation, so you don’t need to worry about the blow up spa bursting during the process and newer models have a mechanism which switches off once they are fully inflated. 

Inflating The Lid

 Carefully place it inside the lid cover. 

Connect one end of  the inflation pipe to the pump and the other into the inflation valve located on the lid

Click the padlock button on the control panel to unlock it and then press the inflate button. You should now see the lid start to inflate.

Once fully inflated, you can remove the pipe, place the cover in position and use the childproof safety clips to secure it in place.

Final Steps

When you’ve finished filling the jacuzzi with air, you only need to add the water, place the chlorine tablets in the Chemconnect dispenser and wait approximately 24 hours before hopping in.
