US Stamp Scott #523 $2.00 Franklin Red Orange & Black MH VF $525.00

Up for sale is US $2.00 Scott #523, the red orange & black Franklin stamp (the original, more rare version of this stamp), issued in 1918.  This stamp is in Mint, Hinged condition with Very Fine centering, and has a very mild gum crease.  It is a beautiful looking stamp with vivid color, crisp detail, and a nice clean face.  This stamp is a cornerstone of any advanced US collection!  The Scott Catalog value for this stamp is $525.00.

Note: Any stamp described as being in "Mint" condition has full original gum, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Unlike sellers you may have encountered, I will not intentionally misrepresent any stamp that I sell.  I will accept returns with no questions asked if you are not completely satisfied with the stamp(s).

Payment must be received within 7 days of the end of the auction.  All non-PayPal payments must be made in US dollars and must be drawn on a U.S. bank.  Items paid in this manner will ship once the payment has cleared.  Otherwise, I will ship the next day after payment has been received.

If the total of your auctions
won is $100.00 or more, I will generally pay for USPS insurance out of my own pocket, but I make no guarantees to that effect.  I am not permitted to say anything else about this publicly, so please email me for details if you are concerned about this issue.

If you have won an auction and you are not paying via PayPal, or your PayPal payment will be delayed by more than just a few days, please let me know ASAP so that I can plan accordingly.

I will only ship to U.S. and Canadian addresses. Shipping will be via first class mail (USPS).

If the value of your packge is $100.00 or more, I will generally pay for USPS insurance out of my own pocket, but I make no guarantees to that effect.  I am not permitted to say anything else about this publicly, so please email me for details if you are concerned about this issue.

I will combine shipping for multiple items paid for on the same invoice.  Do not make payment on combined shipping orders until you have received an invoice first.  I will use my discretion on the shipping method to be used for multiple items.

Please note: Only auctions won within the same 3-day period will qualify for combined shipping.

Stamps make an excellent investment in this uncertain and volatile time. Their value has historically increased steadily over time, irrespective of the vicissitudes of global economic conditions.

I always try to make my listings as accurate and complete as possible.  I also strive to always include a scan of the gum side of the stamps, unless the market value of the stamps does not warrant it - even when including the back side scan is not to my advantage.  I do this because I want my buyers to know exactly what they are getting beforehand, and because I understand that being honest and having a reputation for being so pays more than trying to cheat my buyers.  On top of all this, I include a no-questions-asked return policy.  Look around at other stamp dealers' auctions and you will see that I am in the minority on these accounts, and I hope that you will bid with confidence and check back on my auctions frequently for this reason.
