Knitting pattern/instructions to make vintage 1940s women's slipover/sleeveless sweater vest. With a squares design and pockets.
Size: 32 - 34 inch bust if knitted in 3 ply yarn. You could make it larger by adjusting needle size or knitting with 4 ply or DK yarn and larger needles, but would need to knit a tension square before starting to ensure the finished garment was the size you wanted.
Materials required: 3 ply yarn, You can use modern 4ply wool, which is similar in weight. but would need to knit a tension square before starting to ensure the finished garment was the size you wanted. THE orignal yarn used was 100% wool.
