This model is the 1958 Austin A105 Westminster Vanden Plas. The A105 was the first mass-produced Austin family car to be specially upgraded by coachbuilder Vanden Plas, changes included significant new interior fittings, and a grey stripe bearing the "Princess" crown on the side of the body.
The Vogue was a revelation in towing with its fibreglass construction. Gone was the characteristic bounce of conventional caravans, thanks to tensioned-rubber independent suspension. The caravan could be towed on an even keel without jerking or pitching and could be towed at speed.
