The Los Angeles Rams were well represented — defensive tackle Merlin Olsen was selected as lineman of the game, and quarterback Roman Gabriel received the back of the game award. Los Angeles coach George Allen was fired after the 1968 season but because of a great outcry from the fans, he was rehired by Rams management after the Pro Bowl.
