This letter is an oringinal signed signiture of the late great legendary Field Marshal B L Montgomary.

The autogragh was obtained in 1961 in this hand written letter inviting me to visit his home in  Alton Hants.

The purpose of this arranged visit was to view Monty's War Caravan and that of Field Marshal Ervin Rommels of Germany nick named the Desert Fox

 He gave me a personal tour of these in his out buildings.these caravans where used in the desert war in Egypt during the second world war, he was a wonderful host and enthused about his war time memorabilia.(See pictures of his caravan now in The Imperial War Museum.)

This letter is rare, one of a kind,highlighting headed writting paper,home address,telephone number and hand wriiten by him in green ink.
