For sale is this handsome 19th Victorian antique fishing painting featuring a trout or salmon fly fisherman fishing in a wooded stream. It is a watercolour painting on paper and is framed in a period maple veneer frame. I would estimate it is British in origin and probably painted in the mid-19th century, around 1860 to 1870. The painting measures about 13 by 9 1/2 inches. The frame measures about 17 by 14 inches. The painting is in good condition with strong colors and no rips or tears.
