This is a stunning vintage French tapestry wall hanging dating mid 1900's. It would add a sublime château chic finishing touch to a room.

It depicts a bucolic rural scene. In the background are rolling hills, fields of wheat and hay ricks. To the foreground a group of people in 18th Century costume are working - see their wooden sabots. Two are atop a cart pulled by 2 cattle and 2 are attending a cow and her calf. All around them are fabulous trees and a plethora of wild flowers - just lovely.

The colour palette is dominated by shades of ochres and greens with touches of pink and blue in the costumes and flowers.

Around all this splendour is a sewn floral border.

The tapestry is woven in cotton and is of good quality. It is lined and has fixtures at the back for hanging purposes.

It is in very good vintage condition.

The tapestry measures :- 208 cm (6 ft 9.9 inches) wide x 96 cm (3 ft 1.75 inches) high.

and have verified its condition, we will issue the refund .
