An antique 28" tall Simon & Halbig bisque doll with composition body.  She has a lovely face with working sleeping blue glass eyes and pierced ears. The head is marked S & H 1079 DEP Germany 13 1/2.  The body is original and has not been repainted. As expected there are a few minor chips and signs of wear at the joints on her composition body, some of which have been shown in the photos. The fingers and toes are good and have not been repaired. The bisque head has been lit from the inside and there are no hairlines, chips or repairs. The eye lids look like have been repainted at some time and there is a small faint superficial blemish on her forehead above her left eye that is from when she was originally fired. It doesn't show any repairs when the head is lit and can only be seen on very close inspection. She comes with a newer nicely made crochet dress, hat and matching booties. She's a beautiful doll and would be a nice addition to anyone's doll collection.
