Pictured is a large, early spatterware sugar bowl offered for sale.  The design spatter bowl is decorated with an alternating pattern of dark cobalt blue bowties & red daisy-like flowers.  It's accented with a thin lighter blue band on the brim of the rim & at the very base.  It measures 4 1/4" in height, 5" in diameter, & dates from 1835 - 1865.  The opening accommodates a 3 3/4" cover.  It's in excellent condition with no nicks or repairs.  There is a short 3/4" hairline at the rim & a short stress hairline on the underside, not thru.  The sugar bowl has a uniform light discoloration, see pics.   A design spatterware pattern which is infrequently seen.....
