Atlas HO Code 83  36" Flex Track

HO Code 83 with brown ties and nickel silver rail. Super-Flex Track is Atlas' most popular product, known worldwide for its versatility and, of course, its flexibility. The innovation, which remains unparalleled to this day, was patented by Steven Shaffan, Jr., the founder of Atlas Tool Co.. What makes Atlas Super-Flex Track so unique is that unlike many other types of curvable track which tends to kink when flexed, Atlas' Flex Track can be formed and re-formed until you arrive at the desired shape.  Like all Atlas track, Super-Flex is a high quality track made with injection-molded plastic and premium nickel silver rail. Atlas' Super-Flex Track is a product you will enjoy using as you create your model railroading masterpiece.  Super-Flex Track comes in approximately 36" (3 feet) sections, and can easily be bent and shaped to form curves of any radius. What is the difference between Atlas HO Code 100 & HO Code 83 Track?  Literally, the code of a piece of track is the height of the rail in thousandths of an inch (meaning code 83 rail is .083" high; code 100 rail is .100" high).  The significant difference lies in the physical appearance of the two types of track.  Atlas Code 83 track has fine, brown ties and is more prototypical, whereas Code 100 has slightly thicker black ties, higher rail that helps avoid derailments and has been made for decades.
