Incredible museum quality set here up for grabs.

This is from a huge collection I recently discovered. A treasure trove of vintage golf clubs sat unused in a suburban Chicago basement for over 30 years.

And the most incredible piece that really ties the set together is the Hogan umbrella. I believe I was the first person to ever open this umbrella. It was rolled that tight like it came right from the factory. I’ve never seen another one in over 40 years of collecting buying and selling used golf equipment, I’ve turned down offers over $200 just for the umbrella because I really want to keep the set together, it belongs in a museum.

Let’s talk about the condition. It appears that several of these irons are unhit.

The woods are in pristine condition as well, but based on a few signs, I believe that these woods were refinished at the Hogan factory. I say this because there looks to be some polyurethane that has filled in the lettering stamps on the club. However, they are very clearly stamped serial numbers on the sole of the club so I think that these were factory refinished and the factory re-stamped the serial numbers.

The bag is in mint condition as well. You can tell the set on display in the basement and did not make it too much to the course. I don’t believe there were even any tees in the pocket. The last bag that sold like this sold Back in January and it wasn’t in this good of shape and it sold for $375

the previous owner had several sets like this, where he had one set that had use, and in the pockets, had balls, and tees, and another set that looked like a back up, where it was just sitting there inside for all these years Because of this bag is better than any other Hogan bag that I have ever found and I love finding these, but usually the vinyl exterior is peeling and cracking and there’s stains all over. This one is mint. It includes the raincover and headcovers.

I’ll ship this anywhere. I’ll refund any difference between the quoted price and actual, for example sometimes it calculates and the customer pays $80 but it only costs me $60, I’ll refund the difference.
