This is a C.B. Perkins Supreme (186) (pre-1980) smooth Billiard estate pipe. If it looks familiar, it's because it was made by Comoy's. In fact, if one were to look up a "Comoy's (186) London Pride", he would find the exact same pipe. Turns out that C.B. Perkins opened in Boston in the early 1900's and quickly became New England's leading tobacconist and held that title for over 75 years, and Comoy's made many of their pipes.

This particular smooth Billiard wears a bowlful of stunning grain, further enhanced by a warm, rich contrast stain. The tapered, twin bore vulcanite stem allows the maker to stamp "Bite Proof" on the right side of the stem. Internally, the chamber is super solid while the draft hole has been drilled dead-center and flush with the bottom of the bowl. Comoy's pipes made before 1980 were unbeatable, and it appears that the pipes they made for tobacconists were of equal quality. This beautiful C.B. Perkins/Comoy's Billiard is in excellent condition and ready to enjoy.
