Maunier Garambois à Marseille Empire fine lyre ormulu mantel clock circa 1815

Lyre-shaped clock case, the elegant frame decorated in detail with filigree blossoms and fine foliage; fire-gilt bronze. The top of the frame is crowned by a rosary flanked by two butterflies.

The pendulum stands on a rectangular base, which is also decorated with stylized laurel leaves. On the front is a relief of applied vine tendrils and vines, in the center a top bowl decorated with an opulent bouquet of roses. All details of the very finely cast bronze decorations are masterfully crafted and chased, alternately matt and bright gold-plated.

The very elegant dial is also mercury-gilt, with a Roman numeral ring and black numerals. The gilded bronze center is adorned with radial flowers. Breguet hands from the center made of blued steel. Signed "Maunier Garambois á Marseille ". The dial is beautifully preserved.

Pendulum movement with lever escapement, pendulum with thread suspension, lock plate striking mechanism on the bell for the half and full hour. Running time 7 days.

The clock has been dismantled, cleaned and adjusted by the clockmaker - it runs and strikes as it should.
