For sale as pictured: a late (1978) printing of the Golden Book edition of
Walt Disney's Peter Pan. This is
not a "Little Golden Book" -- those are so ubiquitous that many have forgotten that there is such a thing as a "Golden Book" (that is, a full-size picture book version of the LGB.) This title was originally published in 1952, contemporaneously with the release of the Disney film, and then remained in print for the next fifty years. This copy is a late printing -- stated 39th print, 1978 publication date.
Here are the condition notes:
Good used condition. Hardcover, picture cover, a full-size Golden Book (as opposed to a "Little Golden Book") - approximately 9 1/2 inches by 12 inches. Exterior shows moderate wear including significant edge rubbing including loss of paint, a crease line at the cover hinge, and well-bumped corners where the veneer has worn through to the cardboard. High-quality sewn binding is tight and intact (notwithstanding a single stray thread at the top of the spine). The interior is clean and unmarked with bright white pages.
