Handmade Lampwork glass  beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. It takes a lot of skill to keep the bead from losing its shape and the adding of other colors in swirls or flowers demands much concentration.

The two beads in this set are:
1) 9 x 14mm base of baby blue glass bead with swirls of lemon yellow circling the perimeter.
2) 10 x 17  base of baby blue glass bead with alternating rows of lemon yellow and white dots covering the perimeter.
