Handmade Lampwork glass  beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. It takes a lot of skill to keep the bead from losing its shape and the adding of other colors in swirls or flowers demands much concentration.

As the photos above show, this set of beads is made up of one large 11 x 18mm White with Black Squiggles bead, and 4 smaller beads. 

The 4 smaller beads are made of the same materials and same design as the large one with beads measuring from 10 to 12mm to 11 to 14mm.  Each bead has its own personality and some have a little slightly tan area.  This is a very clean, attractive, simple bead set.
