The Chandelier Tree, also known as the Drive-Thru Tree in Leggett, CA, is a massive 315 ft tall, 21 ft wide  Redwood specimen that is estimated to be 2400 years old.  While it is admittedly a shame that someone  years ago decided to cut a hole in its trunk big enough to drive a Buick through, the tree seems to have adapted and thrived in spite of this lack of human kindness back in the day.
