Sight and Sound - October-December 1954

Published by The British Film Institute, Sight and Sound was issued quarterly from 1934 to 1991, when it switched to monthly.   Included here is the October-December 1954  issue.   This issue is 8-1/2" X 10-3/4", and is 56 pages.  This is not a library discard copy.

There is a price written in black crayon on the front cover - 2.50 - and a scuff mark on the left side of the front cover too  -  a thin vertical scuff mark about 3 inches long - see photos.

No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages besides that price on the front cover.   Binding is "Saddle-Stitch" - two staples in the center - binding is tight and all text pages are intact.

The 'Contents' page is included in the attached photos - highlights include...

"The Metteur En Scene" by Tony Richardson - "Morality Plays Right and Left" by Pauline Kael - "The Films of Kurosawa" by Jay Leyda - "Oriental Notebook" - by R.E. Durgnat

Reviews of Rear Window - On The Waterfront - Caine Mutiny - lots more!

That's James Mason and Judy Garland on the cover.

Since there is advertising in the issue, this will be mailed out USPS Ground Advantage.
