Antique Regimental Beer Stein Wurtt. Infantry Reg. #126 Strasbourg c.1903-1905

Description: Original regimental (Reservisten) stein c.1905. Belonged to Reservist Schaefer of 11. Comp, 8. Wuerttemberg Infantry Regiment No.126 named after Fierdich Grossherzog von Baden (Grand Duke of Baden) and stationed in the city of Strasbourg.

Made of hard porcelain with lithopane in the bottom showing a soldier saying farwell to his sweetheart scene. Very nicely decorated with the Coat-of-Arms of Wuerttemberg in the front panel, the view of the garrison barracks in Strasbourg, and hand-touched over transfer outline battle scenes on the sides.

Magnificent figural lid with a sitting soldier saluting with his flask. The thumblift is made in the form of a crowned lion and deer - the Coat of -Arms of the House of Wuerttemberg.

There is a minor split in the pewter strap, but the lid is sitting tight. Other than that - excellent flawless condition.

It is 11.5" tall, 0.5L capacity.

Please note - this is original authentic regimental stein from the period. I guarantee my description and dating.
