This Set comes with all you need to play this lovely instrument including a pipe bag and carrying case. Except for Drone Reeds, for which we strongly recommend Pipe Dreams Ezee Drone Reeds.

This Henderson Bagpipes instrument is a reproduction of a Bagpipe made by P. Henderson around the 1930s - 1940s Era. the exact year it was manufactured is not known but it was between the 1930 - 1940s in Glasgow.

Like the original, the tone of these pipes is rich and subtle. made of the rare and exquisite Cocobolo Wood Black Shaded with Hickory Wood Projection Mounts and Nickle Ferrules, Caps & Sildes. Comes with 2 Chanter Reeds.

They were sourced and donated by PM Bert Barton and Dr. Ben Jenkins of Georgia for 18 years and under Piobaireachd solo piping contest at St Andrew's Madras Collage in 1981.

They were won by well know Scottish piping figure, Pipe Major who played them with success in numerous solo and grade 1 pipe band competitions with the lothian and borders police pipe band. they have also been played at many prominent engagements including royal functions, Edinburgh tattoo, Toronto intercontinental tattoo, etc.  We acquired the bagpipe from him and were so impressed with the appearance and tonal qualities of the pipes that he approached us in 2015 about creating a reproduction.

Henderson, Peter

One of the most well-known pipe makers of the 20th Century, the Peter Henderson name is synonymous with great tone. From 1880 until 1973, the Henderson shop on Renfrew street in Glasgow was a hub for top pipers. Pipes have acquired a reputation for quality and magical tone up to this day and is generally regarded as one of the best pipe makers in the history of the instrument.
