This is a 1950s (or earlier) 2-ended egg cup which is probably English. I have seen similar blanks from Spode but haven't been able to find this pattern anywhere online nor have I found the bottom M mark. The hand painted pattern features hydrangeas in shades of pink, purple, yellow, and green. The horizontal bands are dark green. #24335

CONDITION: This egg cup is used but is in good used condition with no cracks or chips. It does have even crazing and is darkened in the bottom of the large end.
SIZE: This piece is about 2 3/8" in diameter (inside wall to inside wall) and just under 3 1/2" tall.

BACKGROUND: This is one of a number of things I recently purchased from a retired teacher neighbor before she moved away from our retirement community to live with her son. I'll be listing more of her things over the next several weeks. She had a house full of interesting things inherited from a number of relatives as well as gifts from students and friends.

WHY BUY FROM WANDERING CREEK? I've been selling online for 27 years and guarantee that the information in my listings is accurate and that I will get your item in the mail very quickly. I accept returns for any reason but do not do partial refunds.
