Seiko 720-8727 made for the Royal Navy Trident nuclear submarine crew.

Very hard to find in this condition.  For an ex- active services watch, it is exceptionally good.

Acrylic has very minor scuffs, the case is very clean, with a couple of small marks highlighted in the photos.  Fixed lugs.  Perfect working order, with a recent battery replacement.  Lovely unique matt dial.

It is estimated up to 2,400 of these watches were issued, making this a very rare version of the Gen 2 Seiko military watch, that was issued throughout the British forces.  This version is the only Gen 2 that has a non-luminous matt dial, an MOD request, and a unique feature, likely to prevent interference with the equipment on the nuclear submarine fleet.  The watch also has its own very unique reference, stamped on the case back.

They don't come along very often.  Reluctant sale, raising funds for something else.
