Here we have this truly marvellous antique Solid silver  Tea Pot by the highly desirable Silversmith Edward Power, Dublin 1828.

Fabulous high relief repousse decoration of floral, exotic Fruits, swags and two eagles each is side, plus 2 empty cartouches, standing on four feet, each sculptured with 4 toe paws.

The tea pot Finial is also unique, depicting a man sitting cross legged, he’s dressed Middle Eastern style, wonderful detailed craftsmanship.

Makers Mark EP : Date Letter H 1828 : Harp crowned Purity Mark( Sterling Silver ) : Dublin Assay Mark : King George Portrait duty mark. 

Further hallmark to the lid.

All Hallmarks are very clear, deep and easily readable.

A marvellous highly desirable and very rare piece of Irish Solid Sterling Silver.

Wonderful craftsmanship from one of Irelands incredible master silversmiths.

Condition 

Excellent condition, No dents or nasty scratches, a micro very minor dints to the cartouche, lid hinge is strong, inline without any play and the lid fits perfectly, finial is tight no movement (removable) Handle is free from any damage whatsoever, no movement, interior is clean and hygienic. 

Feet are strong and the tea pot without any wobbles.

Simply a beautiful piece of art.
