Organic coconut oil has very few vitamins present in the unrefined oil, so the refining process doesn't damage the quality of the oil at all. The health benefits of using coconut oil stem mainly from the high concentration of medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) and Lauric Acid; and these fatty acids are not effected by the refining process at all. Nutritionally, refined coconut oil is just as good for you as cold pressed, unrefined coconut oil, it just doesn't have the higher price tag!
How will my coconut oil come packaged?
We intend to add other packaging options as time progresses, however in the meantime all of our coconut oil will come packaged in 2 resealable transparent bags. We deliberately keep our packaging and labelling to the absolute minimum, we are serious about minimising our environmental impact and this is the only way to do so. Also, with minimal packaging comes a smaller price tag. Organic coconut oil has a melting point of 24 degrees, so the oil may be liquid, partially liquid or solid depending on the weather
