This is a six piece hostess set of Florentine silver from the  Around the World Shopping Club. From 1954,each piece features iconic Italian symbols. Included are: pickle fork/mythical griffin; butter knife/Julius Caesar; sugar shell/Apollo the sun god;mustard spoon/winged lion; Dressing server/ Romulus and Remus with wolf mother; olive fork /lily of France. Pieces are marked "Italy"

These are utilitarian as well as beautiful!

The box is not perfect and has tears along the side lip.
