AGE OR ERA: True antique / vintage item - this one is hard to date with any certainty due to timeless design and lack of labels or marks. My best guess would be 1940's to 1960's - midcentury or retro era
MARKINGS: A very well hidden, integrated stitched NM in the very lower right hand corner.
METAL / MATERIAL: The thread on the front has a very heavy thick cottony feel - black backing and edge detail are a nice soft, fine small wale or gauge velvety corduroy
CLASP / CLOSURE: No zippers or closures that I could find
MEASUREMENTS: Aprox 17" x 13" x (very roughly) 4" to 6" thick
WEIGHT: x

U.S. RING SIZE: x
ANECDOTAL, METAPHYSICAL, HISTORY &/or LORE: The ancient embroidery technique of needlepoint had become a popular way to decorate pillows in the 1700's (or 18th century) and it has enjoyed a spot in our hearts and homes ever since.

CONDITION: Great vintage condition - no damage to mention. No stains, undesirable odors, rips, tears, holes, etc. The smallest amount of minor corner wear from age and use. I am seeing some minor "Fuzzies" when inspecting my close up photos. Easily removed with lint brush or sticky roller, etc. Not noticeable in person or I surely would have removed. Colors remain bright - lovely / useable ready for you condition all around. Please study all photos to self-form an opinion of condition and gain additional item insight that only viewing photos can provide. A fantastic find in an excellent state of preservation.
