DA-27 Motorsport Fuel Pump
The DA-27 is our custom manufactured high flow fuel pump that's ideal for applications where fueling requirements are needed up to 500bhp. These reliable pumps have been sold globally by us for many years and are used in a variety of applications with excellent results.The inlet features a push-on fitting that's suitable for a 15mm fuel hose and the outlet is suitable for an M12 Banjo fitting. This listing doesn't include the Banjo fitting, however we have a separate listing that does include it, the banjo fitting allows an 8mm fuel hose to be attached to the outlet. With the DA-27 being methanol tolerant, the experienced mechanic will actually be able to get one of these to actually sit in-tank if needed with modifications to your original fuel pumps sender/carrier unit.
If you're looking into high stage tuning for large power gains then these pumps are perfect for any fast modified/race car project. Modifications such as bigger injectors, specialized cams, polishing, weight reduction, balancing, transmission and remaps means nobody wants their pride and joy to run in in a very lean fuel to air ratio, so adequate fueling has never been more important!

Installation
- Installation should be performed by a professional, trained mechanic only that has vast experience in fuel systems.
- Inline pre-filters should always be fitted before the DA-27
- A complete flush of your fuel tank and fuel lines must be performed before using.
- The serviceable main fuel filter must also be replaced.
Many of our customers have taken the advantages the DA-27 provides for racing, track day and rally usage in a twin-pump configuration, where they've either mounted them underneath the car (gravity fed) or in other location, we recommend fitting them externally in the following order:
Fuel tank/cell --> fuel lift pump --> fuel filter --> surge tank --> DA-27+DA-27 in a dual bracket --> 2x fuel filter dual bracket --> Y-Block --> Injectors --> Fuel Pressure Regulator --> Overflow fuel from the fuel pressure regulator back to surge tank inlet.
The purpose of the surge tank is to always have a fuel supply available to the engine even under very high lateral G loads

Pressures and Draw Rates
The DA-27 draws different amounts of electrical current (amps) depending on operation pressure:
- 6.7 AMPS @ 35 PSI
- 8.6 AMPS @ 60 PSI
- 9.4 AMPS @ 70 PSI
- 10.7 AMPS @ 90 PSI
- 12.7 AMPS @ 120 PSI
Wiring Kit
The wiring kit that's included is compatible with our DA-27 and DA-31, it can also fit the Bosch '044' and various Sytec out-of-tank 'inline' fuel pumps. The purpose is to protect the electrical connections from rust, dirt and debris for trouble free performance.- 2x Rubber Dust Cover Boots (13mm)

- Please be aware that Driven 2 Automotive will not be held responsible under any circumstances for costs incurred due to parts that are found to have a manufacturing fault or that have failed due to poor installation.
- The most common cause of failure on any fuel pump is a 'locked up' situation that's due to contamination of rust/debris and other minute objects. This contamination causes overheating of the pump, you must make sure your tank is completely flushed before fitting (perhaps even multiple times).
- New fuel filters must be fitted on installation
