Extremely rare trade card from 1887--( very  thin stock )-- cartoon baseball figure on front advertising Osterhout & Goodrich Clothing--- back has schedules home and aboard ( away) for both Philadelphia professional baseball clubs--- the minor league Athletics ( who were on a break from the fledgling American Association  and the National League Quakers ( fore runners of the Phillies)--- organized baseball was in it's infancy and league members were transitory at best----size is approx. 3 " x 5"-- front is excellent, back shows minor paper tears from removal from scrapbook--- pre 1900 schedules in any form are rare at best-- this has a baseball themed front, incorporated scheduling from the earliest N.L. days and is  in very acceptable shape--- paper stock is thin and consistent with  color finishes of the era--- This was removed from a scrap book containing approx. 200 other trade cards and die-cuts from the 1880 period.  Only 1 other had a baseball theme-- this one is fairly unique because of the schedules on back--- most have predominately ad backs and illustration fronts--- - in regards to the thin stock, the last 2 photos ( not included in this listing) demonstrate the stock used-- 2 other examples as shown have clear folds on reverse--( thin stock)-- it illustrates how scarce an example is being offered-- the condition is really great---      free shipping
