Handmade Lampwork glass  beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. It takes a lot of skill to keep the bead from losing its shape and the adding of other colors in swirls or flowers demands much concentration.

These rondelles are rather small and range from 5 x 8mm to 8 x 10mm.  Most are glossy but there are 5 that are matte.  Each bead is different but all use the same color palette of orange, green, blue and yellow. Please refer to the photos above to see the designs. Colors are fairly accurate.  There is quite a lot of detail in these beads.
