Handmade Lampwork glass  beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. It takes a lot of skill to keep the bead from losing its shape and the adding of other colors in swirls or flowers demands much concentration.

The photos above give a good representation of the actual.  All beads are a vivid cobalt blue.  The main focal bead has random lavender swirls all around the bead.  The small spacer beads 5 x 9mm are clear cobalt blue glass.
