Description: - A Victorian 18 carat yellow gold Keeper ring. Keeper rings were originally worn on the finger to prevent another ring from inadvertently sliding off that finger.

The ring is stamped with Birmingham assay hallmarks, '18' to denote 18ct gold, and the date letter 'P', for 1889.

  • Measurement: - UK ring size O 1/2 (leading edge). US ring size 7 1/2 (leading edge). The ring is strong and thick at approximately 8.0mm to the front and 2.9mm to the reverse.
  • Weight: - 6.9 grams.

Condition: - The ring is in good condition. Light surface wear and scratches to the ring commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
