Film Comment - 1987 - Full Year - 6 Issues

Published by The Film Society of Lincoln Center in 1962 as a quarterly, and bi-monthly since 1972.  Included hare are the six issues from 1987.   

Edited by Harlan Jacobson and Richard Corliss. Each issue is 8-1/4" X 11" and is usually 80 pages.  These are not library discard copies.  No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages - though there are old black crayon prices written on the top left side of some of the issue.   None of the issues has an address label.

February

1987 - Interview with Oliver Stone - 'Betty Blue' - Film Production.  Contributors include, Marcia Pally, Pat McGilligan, Dam Kimmel, Harlan Kennedy.   On the front cover is  written 'T 2.95' in black crayon just above the 'm' of 'Film'.


April 1987 - Comedy Films - Sir Alec Guiness - Coen Brothers.   Contributors include Joe Bob Briggs, David Thomson, Armond White, Jack Barth.    On the front cover is written 'T 2.95' in black crayon in the 'F' of 'Film'.  Some light rubbing wear at the left side.   Slight crease at the top right corner.


June 1987 - Ronald Reagan - "Working Girls" - Films of the Soviet Union - De Palma's Guilty Pleasures.   Contributors include Richard Schickel, Harlan Kennedy, Alexander Batchan.   Some rubbing wear spots on the left side of the front cover.   On the front cover is written 'T 2.95' just above the 'm' of 'Film'. 


August 1987 - Cannes at 40 - Interview with Joe Strummer - Movie Music.  Contributors include, Karen Jaehne, Graham Fuller, Chris Hodenfeld.   On the front cover is written 'T 2.95' just above the 'm' of 'Film'.


October 1987 - Stanley Kubrick - NY Film Festival at 25 - John Huston.   Contributors include Richard Corliss, Marcia Pally.    Page 18 has a short 1/2 inch tear at the bottom edge.   Top right corner of the front cover has a crease - diagonal crease about 1-1/2 inch across.   Front cover has 'T 2.95' written in black crayon in the 'F' of 'Film'.


December 1987 - Cry Freedom - Bernardo Bertolucci - The Blacklist.   Contributors include Armond White, David Chute, Pat McGilligan.    Front cover has 'T 295' written in black crayon in the 'F' of 'Film'.
